DJ Horne: A rising star in college basketball
DJ Horne is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound combo guard from Raleigh, North Carolina. He played high school basketball at Trinity Christian School, where he was a four-star recruit and the No. 111 player in the class of 2019 according to 247Sports.
Horne played his freshman year of college basketball at Illinois State, where he averaged 10.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He transferred to Arizona State after his freshman year and had a breakout sophomore season, averaging 12.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
Horne is a versatile player who can score from all three levels. He is a good shooter from the perimeter, and he is also a capable ball-handler and passer. He is a solid defender as well.
Horne is entering his junior season at Arizona State, and he is expected to be one of the team's leaders. He has the potential to be a first-round pick in the NBA draft if he continues to develop.
